He just rediscovered agile to replace waterfall. But seriously, I am reading an early-release book Regenerative Software: https://learning.oreilly.com/library/view/regenerative-softw... I don't 100% agree with the book, but it contains a lot of good ideas about how to externalize knowledge about a piece of software from the code, which is what everyone tries to do with plans, specs, chats.
