Hi HN, I built Primescript (https://primescript.com), an offline-first Markdown editor and workspace for academic writing, lab reports, and essays. After talking with 50+ students, the consensus was that existing writing software either fights your formatting or tries to generate low-quality AI text for you. I spent several years engineering a custom offline sync engine and building tools around actual research friction: side-by-side vector search across your own files for instant citations, plain-English conversion to LaTeX formulas and tables, and minimal opt-in grammar polishing that never alters your text without approval. It's 100% self-funded with a free tier available - I’d love your honest feedback on the editor feel, sync reliability, and search performance.
