Saturday, on a train to Rapallo, I was thinking about how we label music as “AI-generated”, “AI-assisted”, or “Human”.

But a song can mix human and AI contributions at every stage.

So I formalized the problem.

Provenance first. Label second. Decision third.

The result is the Creative Provenance Decomposition Theorem.
