I appreciate the speculation this provides, i hadn't considered the possibility of selling improved rankings within the models that get released. I could imagine a similar speculation being written ~25 years ago of "what if these new search engines started allowing advertisers to bid to rank higher in search results".
With the call to action of "raise your own model", what might that actually look like? Will it be feasible for individuals, or would there need to be some trusted open source foundation that creates the "Linux" of models?
