An `--ignore-file=` flag would be nice I guess:

--ignore-file=.ignore

--ignore-file=.gitignore

--ignore-file=.dockerignore

--ignore-file=.npmignore

etc

but then, assuming all those share the same "ignore file syntax/grammar"...
