Ask HN: What's the best engineering interview process?

I'm working on building a new interview process for an engineering team I'm working on, and I wanted to get feedback from HN.

What's the best interview process out there, from both the perspective of the candidate and the company? What are interviews that give high signal/applicability of a good mutual fit?

Who does eng hiring particularly well?
