I really had no idea of DHH's politics and I read through the linked posts and, while I don't agree with a bunch of what DHH said, none strike me as excessively extreme. Worth debating? Sure. Worth protesting? Less sure.

Trump promised exactly what he's doing: retribution, tariffs, self-dealing and corruption, accelerating climate change, etc. I'm curious DHH's assessment of the past ~9 months and how it matches with his original "optimism".
