I subscribe to a ton of newsletters and always wanted to include them as sources with ChatGPT Deep Research. With the launch of Custom Connectors last week, this is finally possible. This repo is a minimal working example of a Deep Research connector with OAuth, built to hook up your custom data sources.
The official docs for custom MCP connectors are sparse, and there wasn't a complete example at launch. I figured sharing this Next.js demo (built using Auth.js and node-oauth2-server) could help others get started quicker.
