Why is it not democratic? In the western world, we are allowed to change politicians, but politics don't change. How is that democratic?
Also, just because you've never used a word doesn't mean it's not being used. In the US, discussions regarding class and class conflicts are heavily suppressed, reason why you wont hear it very often, and making most Americans politically and socially illiterate.
