I do this often:

```ruby

if (user = User.find_by(email: '[email protected]'))

  user.update(status: 'active')

end

```

Is it better to do this instead?

```ruby

user = User.find_by(email: '[email protected]')

user.update(status: 'active') if user.present?

```
