The internet is not real and 90% of its traffic is likely bots. From the media to the interactions to the connection: we all live inside these little digital enclaves that rarely connect with REAL people or digital media. Its all political ai/spam bot farms and ai generated political videos. More than half the code on github is from ai, probably more than half of all websites are fake and created for some sort of automated purpose. Whats even stranger is thinking back 10 years ago and how unique every page I visited or game I played was. Now the experince is awful: constant garbage on every corner of it, the same bubbly "smooth" UI's on every site, every application, everywhere- ad here, ad there, cloud this cloud that. Your data?? Our data!! its in the big old cloud (their computer). Everything is somewhat the same- everything follows the money, money follows the data the data shows a certain action is profitable, bot farm time- now we all do same thing make same content same shit because its all been captured, we have been captured (6 hours on average a day)! Where is that strange esoteeric nonesense that seemed so common back then?? Its all algorithms to keep you in the hot trash milling around aimlessly. Always "I BELIEVE THIS" and "YOU CANT BELIEVE THAT" as well as the same soundbytes and stupid ai voice generators. We are all flys stuck inside this stupid web tangled up into a cacoon- an enclave of fake interaction, content generation and SPAM. You realize if I really wanted to change your perspective on the world or meddle in elections, I would quite literally entangle you within a fake world manifested to lean towards certain views to get you to vote or think a certain way. An entirely fake media feed and followerbase could be genrated at the click of a button. The internet died without us even noticing.
What really strikes me the most is that the follower based approach to metrics has switched to a subscriber based approach. Now, this is a problem. If you have an algorithm which has a closed source ranking system to amplify or supress certain content you completely eliminate creativity and orginality. Why? Because every content creator will change themselves or their content to meet the demands of the network (or platform), NOT their inner creative self. Furthermore, the fans they are trying to please are mostly fake and they are generating content for some bot farm that wants them to do or think certain things. Then the real people see that content and think they have to be thinking like that person or against that person because of the amplification it has recieved in the digital world. But the simple reality is, its all engineered and we are too stupid to realize it.
We drift in silence, truth erased,
Enclaves of nothing, time displaced.
It’s dead, this digital abyss,
And we are lost, consumed by this.
