At the risk of incurring further downvotes:

- dynamic types

- confusing syntax

- idiosyncrasies in standard functions/libraries

- duck typing

- rails dogmas

Admittedly, my experience is limited (only 1 year of professional ruby dev), but I really did not enjoy my time with the language.
