I adore Hacker News, but like all social platforms, it can easily become a slot machine where every visit brings new posts and comments!
To address this, I built HackerDaily. It only shows posts from the previous day, eliminating the 'slot machine' effect while ensuring you never miss the best content.
Some other key features:
- Improved comment collapsing
- RSS feed[1]
- Dark mode
- PWA
- Open source[2]
I built it for myself, but over 300k visitors have used it so far! I will be improving the site in the coming weeks, so I am looking for more feedback!
