Ask HN: How to setup a raspberrypi for a three year old?

My daughter is about to turn three, and she's interested in computers, especially a raspberry pi that was sitting on my desk. In her own words: she wants to use "the little computer to do work like dad". So far, she is fairly entertained by just being able to open an editor and type words, but I'd like to provide some extra things to play with on there. Does anyone have any recommendations for educational software I could add? Or other activities I could add to get her interested in computing?
