That sounds terrible. I worked as a telco where we experimented with having a development environment on VMware, twelve VMs in total per developer. You'd remote desktop to on of the VMs and use Visual Studio from there, it was absolutely terrible. I can't imagine throwing TeamViewer across oceans into the mix, I'd go absolutely nuts from the lag alone.
