For academic writing, it's going to be obvious in the next few years that the types of writing assignments that chatGPT could help with—like take home essays, for example—are going to be phased out in favour of in-person, proctored writing "tests". For schools and universities, at least, these tools shouldn't need to be used, and thus this problem doesn't come up.

Edit: I just checked and my comment showed up as being human-generated with a 95% confidence rate.
