Ask HN: Would you pay for a SaaS even if its open source and can be selfhosted?
I’m building an opensource self hosted app on GitHub and wanted to know if its worth it to setup Stripe and gain some money through cloud offering.
So lets go for a practical example: You find a task manager that does pretty much exactly what you need BUT its also open source and you can self host it, would you still pay around $5 to get the cloud version of the app?
