I have been hellbanned for 1.5 years and I didn't notice it because my laptop keeps logging me in automatically.
Hellbanning caused me at least 200 hours of pure waste of time browsing the site, and many more hours of waste of energy that I put into commenting and submitting interesting articles.
I would like to thank hacker news for this, especially paul graham. I haven't been fucked in the ass by anyone this hard since I bought my first computer. Now if you please excuse me I go to my spam folder in my email account and buy 6 packs of viagra and send my credit card info to xxx-viagra.ru
