Ask HN: What's the remote job search like for US developers nowadays?

I'm getting the itch and ready to make a move, but the thought of interviewing in this new world is absolutely terrifying. I just read a LinkedIn post about a small startup in SF receiving 10,000 applications a month at this point. How has it been? Can anyone even get an interview?
