Ask HN: Why is everyone so fake on LinkedIn?

Long time HN lurker, don't ever feel that I have anything that important to add.

I go on LinkedIn and I wan't to cry. Why so much fake enthusiasm ?

Do you use LinkedIn and what are your thoughts ?
