The thing that nobody realizes is that we are now subsidizing an office at home and those companies are still expecting us onsite once or twice a week so that we cannot move to a low rent area.
In the meantime, those same companies are going to downsize their offices since not everyone is going to show up the same "days" at the office.
I want to move to a model where everyone is expected at the office maybe a week (or a couple days of a week) every two months. That would allow workers to really live wherever they want. It also allows to live close to the office for those that don't want to travel a week every couple of months.
