It's a little depressing (but not entirely surprising) to hear that you couldn't get folks excited about safety -- I work in the aerospace field, and our day-to-day is all about risk management: how, why, when. It's frustrating that high-reliability systems aren't seen as exciting when really they're what makes the magic run.
