Here's a neat bit of Python abuse I stumbled across recently... you can define a method to return itself:

    >>> def recurse():
    ...   return recurse
    ...
    >>> recurse
    <function recurse at 0x1083b5f28>
    >>> recurse()
    <function recurse at 0x1083b5f28>
    >>> recurse()()()
    <function recurse at 0x1083b5f28>
