Ask HN: Which browser add-ons do you use, what for and how did you discover them?

I'm reevaluating my browser setup and more generally how i use my browsers (mostly Firefox and Chromium) and web habits. I'd like some advice on which browser extensions, add-ons or even less known features improve your browsing experience :)
